This world is sick.
A classroom full of laughter in the middle of the night, a senior hanging and spinning from a ceiling fan, a bloodstained love letter...
In a shadowy hospital, nurses begin singing a sugary lullaby;
In an abandoned village, crimson lanterns sway in the wind.
Sin and confusion rise from the ground, shackling humanity with layer upon layer of chains.
Wu Xi opens her eyes in the mist.
She uses her Taoist knowledge to part the mist.
