City of Plague

[Tentative version, may be revised, screenshot taken on 20220506]

1) Dao Hongqie spent her whole life fighting her hyperthymesia, and finally breathed her last, ready to rest. But when she opened her eyes, she was alive again, and the doctor said, "Reborn, you're awake."

Dao Hongqie: "???"

This rebirth didn't seem to follow the usual script.

She discovered that there were many other "reborn" people in the city besides her. Some had traveled back from the future, while others had been born with memories of their past lives.

She also discovered that the city was home to many transmigrators from various dimensions. Some could tear through space and time with a wave of their hands, while others could summon plants to grow.

What was more, the city's lord was a famous figure from Chinese history, Li Er Feng.

Dao Hongqie: "!!!"

Her facial expressions couldn't convey her shock, and her communicator was demanding that she complete a mission:

[Hello, citizen No. 300001. The entire city is about to encounter the original world of citizen No. 190023. Treatment for the cosmic plague is about to begin. Please prepare yourself.]

[Mission objective: Survive the apocalypse]

[Mission description: In 30 days, this city will be overrun by zombies. Come save it with us.]

Dao Hongqie: "???"

She suddenly remembered her last wish from her previous life: Hyperthymesia was exhausting. I hope my next life is more exciting.

...Well, this is certainly exciting.

*The heroine dies right at the beginning, and will keep "dying" throughout the entire book (though she may not stay dead for good). Personality: bold, big-sister type.

The hero is a "goddess" who sprouts little flowers on his head when he's happy. Personality: gentle and healing.

There may be a touch of angst and regret, since the leads fall for each other at different times.

The way this world opens its unlimited-flow instances may be a little unusual.

Some of the inspiration for this book came from my work Swallowing Cities, specifically Jinling City (it's just a name-based joke, with little connection to reality). The city's will is [Causality]. Its sister cities, such as Gusu and Luzhou, may appear.

More high-stakes excitement to come...

Theme: A song of courage is a song of humanity.
