Is the Mountain God Out of a Job Today?

Third-person narration As the only mountain god in all the realms, born from the spiritual energy of mountains and rivers, the place where I first came into being can no longer be determined. The world has changed beyond recognition, and it may have become a vast ocean by now. From what I can remember, I have probably had five jobs. My first job was at Mount Buzhou, where I was responsible for nurturing the mountain spirits. It was the first job the Heavenly Dao gave me, and I took it very seriously. But Gonggong and Zhurong got into a fight, Mount Buzhou collapsed, and I was out of work. After that, I moved around and ended up at Mount Qi. I thought I could work there until I was old, but then Yang Jian split the mountain in half with one stroke, and I lost my job again. Maybe Yang Jian and I were simply born incompatible. Many years later, that guy trained a nephew who split apart the Mount Hua where I had just taken up my new post. Everyone was moved by Chen Xiang's filial devotion, but no one spared a thought for me, the mountain god. I had lost my job yet again! At last, someone introduced me to a job in the human world. I worked diligently, but disaster can strike at any time. At Mount Wangwu, I thought I could finally avoid those bastards. Then some stinking old man called Yu Gong showed up and swore, pointing at my mountain, "Generation after generation, our descendants will never run out." ...Everyone knows what happened after that. So I had no choice but to pack my bags once more and leave that wretched mountain. Now, I have become the successor to a new mountain. I swear, this time, I will take back everything that belongs to me. Now, I am going to give those poachers, litterbugs who toss cigarette butts around, and humans who develop land recklessly a little taste of a mountain god's wrath.
