For the Crown, for Figure Skating

In 2010, a chance encounter introduced Xia Qingyan to figure skating.

From a young novice to a rising star, from a rising star to a leading figure of the new generation, from Olympic champion, World champion, and Grand Prix Final champion to a renowned skater of Huaguo, and then to a figure skating queen of her era...

Xia Qingyan made history for Huaguo's women's singles.

Her fans hailed her as the female version of Yuzuru Hanyu.

She only said modestly, "He's my idol, a god of figure skating. I can only try to get closer to him, never reach or surpass him. And right now, I'm still a long way behind."

2030: Her farewell competition.

Like the great figure skaters of every generation throughout history,

perhaps true heroes never get a perfect send-off.

*Set in the real world, with some fictional elements (the pandemic came late, but it came). Women's singles technique is shifted forward by one and a half cycles; men's singles remains unchanged.

*Apart from the women's singles skater, all other skaters are real people. The timing, events, and results of domestic competitions are all made up. The Youth Winter Olympics do not exist here.

*I know very little about B-level competitions, so I'll mostly leave them out. Please use your imagination.

*Because of my personal preferences, the rules are mostly from the COP 1.0 era, with a few rules from 2.0 mixed in.

*The rule changes described in the story may differ from reality (I really can't with the ISU...).

*Some of the female lead's programs in certain seasons are borrowed from figure skating programs the author likes. Sources will be listed at the end.

*My knowledge of figure skating is very limited. I have limited ability, so please feel free to point out any mistakes.

The six jumps, from hardest to easiest, are: Axel (A, Axel jump), Lutz (Lz), flip (Phillips, F, inside toe pick), loop (Lo, outside edge), Salchow (S, inside edge), and toe loop (T, outside toe pick).
