A Soul-Summoning General Sent from a Thousand Miles Away

Underworld Temporary Entertainment Hall, Episode Seven:

The underworld is full of poor ghosts, the spirit realm is swollen with spirits, and the mortal realm is full of soul-eaters. Hello, I'm a bona fide soul-caller from the human realm. I'm lucky enough to have traveled through all three realms, and now I'll explore the latest gossip with you.

What do you think of the profession of long-distance soul courier?

Ghost: High-ranking officials in the underworld, using the most expensive yang energy to sightsee in the human realm. The dead are jealous, and the messengers of the dead are furious.

Spirit: I just ordered a fresh soul delivery, and they swindled it away from me. They cheated a spirit! Can I get my yang energy back?

Soul-caller: Delivering souls over a thousand miles, putting them to rest and securing spirits. Available on call, no payment required.

And what do you think of this episode's star, Xue Zhi?

Ghost: You mean the one who died seven times, served as a soul courier seven times, changed jobs six times, and got lost delivering takeout eighteen thousand times? The wildest time was when he sent himself as a delivery to the spirit realm. They say his mouthwatering good looks even charmed a great spirit lord. Xue the hopelessly directionless!

Spirit: The spirit lord's spouse... I wouldn't dare have an opinion...

Ghost: Tsk, what a cowardly spirit.

And what do you think of our other star, Chu Gui?

Spirit: Powerful spirit body, handsome face, the most handsome and wealthiest being in all three realms!

Ghost: The lord of all spirits... I wouldn't dare harbor improper thoughts...

Spirit: Hmph, coward.

Finally, what do you think of the popular "spirit-ghost romance" in the three realms?

Ghost and spirit: Ever heard of romance? It's called a soul romance!

This episode's highlights:

The devoted, only-has-eyes-for-him Lord of All Spirits, the gong X the hopelessly lovestruck, hopelessly directionless soul-courier general, the shou

Xue Zhi, a long-distance soul courier in the underworld, has died seven times and fallen into the depths of hell. He planned to spend the rest of his days as a workaholic ghost, but on his first day at work, he delivered a parcel to the wrong address and casually abducted a spirit lord. From then on, their souls were hungry and yearning, and their love was unbearably sweet (a thousand words omitted here, please use your imagination)...

Ahem... An advertisement from our soul-calling sponsor:

1. The gong appears in Chapter Four. Volume One is about pursuing his beloved, Volume Two is about keeping his beloved company, Volume Three is about searching for his beloved, and Volume Four is about winning his beautiful wife.

2. The underworld is entirely a product of the author's imagination. The shou works as an official escorting fresh souls. A reminder: he is not a messenger of the dead and does not collect souls.

3. Sweet, salty, bitter, and sour flavors included. It won't make you sick with sweetness, won't make you choke, and won't break your heart. As long as the author doesn't turn into a ghost, this story will be updated through to the end.

4. Let's make it an even number! Fate is hard to come by, so don't miss your chance as you pass by!

Finally, a few popular questions, pieced together by ghosts and spirits:

They say the scariest ghost story in the underworld is that the long-distance soul courier who escorts human souls has become the Lord of All Spirits' spirit source!

Ghost: Impossible! What kind of ghost story is this? Trying to scare a ghost?!

They say the scariest spirit story in the spirit realm is that a spirit born to devour souls has fallen in love with a ghost!

Spirit: We spirits don't believe it! Are you trying to fool a spirit?!

They say the most popular hand dance in all three realms is drawing the character for "death."

Ghost and spirit: No! It's drawing the number "ten"!

They say the sweetest love confession in all three realms is, "You're the takeout I can't give up."

Ghost and spirit: What are you talking about? It should be, "You're the spirit source I can't give up!"

Rumor has it that this episode is packed with highlights and well worth looking forward to.

Ghost and spirit: No objections!

Theme: Hold on to hope and never forget your original purpose.
