Precious Pearl x Lone Wolf
Chu Suining is the most brazen princess in the world, someone who cares nothing for rules. Qin Kezhi is the most ruthless general in the world, and the most skilled at keeping his true abilities hidden.
At first, the great general stands tall and calm, saying, "I have no interest in marrying a princess."
But just after the crown prince ascends the throne, he issues an imperial edict betrothing them, hoping to prevent the princess from being sent abroad to marry. The whole nation is in an uproar.
Everyone settles in to watch the spectacle, wondering whether Chu Suining will lose her temper first and overturn the desk in the imperial study, or Qin Kezhi will use his military achievements as an excuse to defy the decree.
But who could have guessed that, beneath the palace's towering steps, the proud young man in black would kneel respectfully and accept the decree with both hands? "This subject will be loyal to the princess and protect her with my life."
Before the emperor can say anything, he adds, "I do this not because Your Majesty ordered me to."
The emperor: ...
Chu Suining glances back at the young man following close behind as she rides.
The tall, black-clad horseman silently protects her, like her most loyal shadow.
Everyone says Qin Kezhi is indifferent to love, but only she knows
how tender a lone wolf can be when he willingly lets someone tame him.
1. Both leads are formidable and career-focused.
2. Romance takes center stage, with the plot in a supporting role.
3. It's really just a simple sweet romance.
"After I Used and Abandoned My Shadow Guard, He Turned Dark"
Brilliant and calculating beauty of a commandery princess x cool, stoic, loyal shadow guard
Luo Yinong finds a young shadow guard at the edge of a clear mountain stream, gravely wounded and on the verge of death. His face is smeared with blood, but his handsome, jade-like features still shine through.
The shadow guard's eyes are filled with murderous hatred. Rather than feel grateful for Luo Yinong's kindness in saving his life, he bares his sharp fangs at her. Luo Yinong knows how to tame a beast, and soon the shadow guard's gaze softens. Gradually, he learns to bow his head and expose the vulnerable nape of his neck to show his submission.
When he finally gathers the courage to plant a gentle kiss, Luo Yinong seems to sense it and turns her head away. She presses a slender finger to his lips and smiles softly. "Bring me what I want, and then you'll receive your reward for being obedient."
But when he returns covered in wounds, carefully holding the brocade box he nearly died to retrieve, Luo Yinong doesn't even look at it. She gently strokes his cheek and tells him, "I'm going back to the capital to get married. I don't want you anymore."
The Prince of Huai'an's household takes back Rong Yuanyin, the heir who had been lost for over a decade. It is said he once served as the lowliest of shadow guards, but no one dares criticize his past, when he struggled to survive in the mud.
Yet this audacious young noble dares to corner a commandery princess who is already betrothed, in a hall separated from the lively palace banquet by only one wall. He lifts her chin with a teasing gesture, his gaze dark and cold. "Your Highness, if you want power and status, wouldn't you be better off choosing me instead of that useless man who'll only hold you back?"
1. Both leads are formidable.
2. Also known as "The Loyal Hound's Self-Directed Courtship."
3. It's still just a simple sweet romance.
Theme: Learn to love and to be loved
It's so well written, and the prince's emotional line is also very interesting. I thought Wei Rongqing and Jin Zhu would have a story, wow, it's finished, it's really great!!
It's a good read. I'd also like to read the series of novels by the Prince and his wife.
Such a heart-warming story, supporting, warming and healing each other!
The first article is so well written
