The Garbage Study-Abroad Syndrome
A story about an insignificant, ordinary young man whose unrequited love succeeds;
the process of a handsome, high-quality boy falling in love;
and the everyday lives of a group of wealthy international students with very different personalities, all of them "garbage."
The story begins in the spring of 2003... It is neither the present nor the future, let alone the distant past. Love can happen anytime, anywhere, and in all sorts of ways. This particular love is like a gentle drizzle, quietly nourishing everything it touches. If it has to be categorized, it would be a "healing story": not exactly sweet, but certainly not bitter, with a touch of bourgeois style, vivid writing, a seemingly realistic depiction of life, and a hint of faux romance.
