No Science Talk in the World of Case Closed

He had that nightmare again. The flames around him grew more and more intense, and the scene before his eyes blurred. He ran desperately forward, but no matter what he did, he couldn't shake the "monsters" chasing close behind.

It was only after he fell into a deep pit and found himself among another group of "monsters" with wooden stakes driven through their chests that he began to break down...

"Help me, Nii-san..." he cried.

Much, much later, a pair of hands gently held him and led him out of that abyss. In the last blur of his vision, all he saw was a figure walking away.

"You're one of the survivors from Sotoba Village. You've been brought to a hospital in Tokyo. Don't be afraid. We just have a few routine questions..." A person dressed as a police officer said to the figure lying in the hospital bed, notebook in hand.

"...Sotoba Village... What is that?"

"Who am I...?" His mind was in utter chaos. "Nii-san... I have to find Nii...san."
