The Spoiled Young Lady and Her Handsome, Powerful General (Women-Run World)

Xie Qingping was shoved into a pond by her mischievous younger half-brother. When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in a world completely at odds with everything she knew. Here, women were in charge. They held government posts and served in the military, while men stayed home to support their wives and raise their daughters. Even more unbelievably, men here were the ones who gave birth! Shocked, Xie Qingping pushed away the handsome entertainer sprawled on top of her. Before she could make sense of anything, people from her family arrived and dragged her home to receive an imperial decree arranging her marriage. The emperor wanted General Wei Sheng to marry Xie Qingping. In her memories, he was a bloodthirsty demon whose very name could stop a child from crying at night. Xie Qingping was nervous, but before she could react, her father-in-law started cursing. Her grandfather sighed beside him, while her mother hurried over to comfort them both. "Father, my dear husband, don't worry. If Ping'er doesn't like Wei Sheng, she can marry him and leave him to sit on the shelf. A woman can have three husbands and four male attendants. Whichever one she likes, we'll take in more for her. We won't let her suffer, so put your minds at ease!" Before Wei Sheng had even returned to the capital, an imperial decree arrived for him. The emperor had arranged his marriage. His wife-to-be was Xie Qingping, the Duke of Ying's daughter, a notorious young wastrel three years his junior. Wei Sheng gripped the imperial decree tightly. Thinking of his white-haired grandfather and his little nephew, who was only just learning to speak, he knew that agreeing to the decree was the best choice. The current emperor was suspicious of everyone. Wei Sheng thought the young lady forced to marry him would resent him, but he never expected her to lift his veil on their wedding day, tip up his chin, and kiss him!
