After being reborn, Jia Qi discovers that he has transmigrated into a book, namely the masterpiece Dream of the Red Chamber.
His father is Jia Fu, the heir to the Duke of Ningguo's household, who was supposed to die young. But his father didn't die and instead became a high-ranking official deeply trusted by the emperor.
Jia Qi is fairly certain he's a second-generation transmigrator; he just doesn't know where his father came from.
Since he's here, he might as well make the best of it. Jia Qi decides to live a good life and study hard for the imperial examinations, so he can become the pillar of the family.
But can someone explain why his father suddenly rebelled and ascended the throne?
Jia Fu: Since I have an heir now, why shouldn't I build a foundation for my children and grandchildren?
And so Jia Fu begins making plans and successfully seizes the throne.
"Son, do you like the throne?"
"Uh, I... like it!"
After being reborn, Jia Baoyu wants to change his tragic fate from his previous life. He is determined to make it up to Lin Daiyu and marry her. But can someone explain why the Duke of Ningguo has risen to power, and why Lin Daiyu doesn't like him?
Jia Qi: Who told you that being given another life means you can make up for what happened in your previous one? What's past is past, so accept reality. I don't mind making the Rongguo household fall into decline even faster this time around. Go ahead and see for yourself if you don't believe me. There are people you must not lay a hand on!
Jia Qi toys with the imperial seal his father gave him, looking at Jia Baoyu with contempt.
Collection notes:
1. Other Dream of the Red Chamber characters will be portrayed negatively, including Grandmother Jia, Jia Baoyu, Xue Baochai, and others.
2. The original Dream of the Red Chamber plot will feature very little. The main reason for writing this story is to give Lin Daiyu a happy ending.
Theme: Life is ever-changing.
