A Fierce Beauty

The story of Wen He in The Flowers Aren't Even Hot has begun --- Blurb --- Zhang Ru was shaking her butt and singing at a karaoke bar when, at the peak of her excitement, she locked eyes with a man. He was idly spinning a string of beads in his hand, and his eyes seemed to say two words: try-hard. As it happened, Zhang Ru couldn't stand pretentious guys who played with beads either. From that day on, she was convinced they both looked down on each other. So even after they became coworkers, they were nothing more than acquaintances who exchanged nods, until he took a glass of liquor for her at an event. Suddenly, Zhang Ru found him rather charming. Aside from being a little old-fashioned and a little pretentious, he had a good figure and a handsome face. He was worth pursuing. [Male Lead] The day she pounced on him, Ye Yinyang realized that girls from Guangdong could be so bold, and that his self-control wasn't all that great either. -- Companion story featuring a second couple: The Flowers Aren't Even Hot "Why put on an act, Zhou Mingchu? You look down on me but still want to sleep with me. Does that bother you? Do you think you're an idiot?" Zhou Mingchu looked at her and slowly narrowed his eyes. "Does that sound too harsh?" Wen He asked. "Then let me put it another way. Does it bother you to fall for someone you look down on? Do you think you're an idiot?" She hadn't understood before. He had trampled on her until she was afraid, then left her confused and uneasy. But at that moment, she saw clearly that beneath that sharp exterior was nothing more than a mess of contradictions and flesh and blood. Zhou Mingchu watched her for a while, then stepped toward the room. Wen He stopped him. "Zhou Mingchu, you're disgusting." This time, she had learned to scrutinize him with the same coldness. -- Upcoming story, Moonlight Shines on the Hallway: human and ghost Yao Manman couldn't understand why anyone in the twenty-first century would want to marry a photograph. After thinking it over, she decided the man must have been someone who had pursued her while he was alive. So one day, she gathered her courage, floated over, and called him "hubby." He slapped a talisman onto her forehead, and she went three days without incense to eat. Theme: Face the sun, and shine in its radiant light
