Just after being resurrected and given a new life, Albafica witnesses the bizarre death of Minos, who was resurrected alongside him. His death causes a small stir, since the autopsy report contains nothing that could have killed him. The brief commotion soon fades, and Albafica has to begin his new life.
At first, he thinks it was nothing more than a minor incident. But ten years later, a long-buried secret from Luang Prabang is about to stir up a storm. The cause of Minos's death returns to Albafica's memory, along with that mysterious rainy night...
[Urgent addendum]
The End of the Mind and Half a Life Unknown are both part of the A Lifetime's Enemy series. The series consists of three main works: A Lifetime's Enemy, Half a Life Unknown, and The End of the Mind, as well as short stories including Spring Branch and Untitled. Each work in the series stands alone and can be considered a parallel world to the others. The series pairing is Ya Mi. I can't remember which chapter's author's note said so, but due to the plot design of The End of the Mind, apart from Xi Huan, Aspros and Chris getting married, and Dika, no other non-canon pairings are mentioned.
Since the timeline of the chapters under the volume label The End of the Mind differs from the other timelines in the series, Albafica has no pairing in this volume. That's why the book's original blurb didn't mention the series pairing.
Spring Branch, What I Miss, and their associated chapters belong to a worldline where Minos is present, so they do have a pairing.
I don't ship against canon or break up canon couples. Everything I want to say is in the work's theme. Three, two, one: don't write fanfiction, run!
Theme: This damn series, hurry up and let me finish it! There's no future in writing fanfiction.
I really like Yami, looking forward to new posts
It's not easy to be able to see Mia in 2023~ My wife's writing is great and I like it very much
