The Ex-Boyfriend

One summer night during their sophomore year of college, Zhang Jin ran into Xie Zeyang at a late-night food stall near the sports college.

When his friend noticed her unabashed stare, he joked, "Hey, miss, do you know him?"

Zhang Jin rested her chin on her hand and nodded. Her bright eyes sparkled with amusement. "Yeah. He's my ex-boyfriend."

"Your ex?" In the dim alley, Xie Zeyang slowly wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. His dark eyes swept over the girl hiding at the entrance. "The ex-boyfriend you never even kissed?"

Later, outside a boxing gym, Zhang Jin's gaze followed a handsome man walking out. Her coworker leaned over and quietly asked, "Do you know him?"

Zhang Jin's eyes reddened. She gave a soft nod. "He's my ex-boyfriend."

The moment Xie Zeyang looked over, she childishly added, "The kind I've kissed!"
