After the Little Palace Maid Gets a Rewind System

New novel coming soon. Blurb:

Ding Mengwei wakes up inside a palace-intrigue novel as a low-ranking palace maid. But in these stories, maids are doomed to suffer. They get beaten on a whim, slapped, flogged, or sentenced to death. Life is miserable, and survival is no easy feat. Luckily, she has a rewind System. Whenever something goes wrong, she can drag the progress bar backward and try again.

The emperor has spent the last few nights in Consort Wang's quarters, leaving her mistress, Consort Qin, in a foul mood. She takes it out on Ding Mengwei, a mere maid, slapping her more than ten times in a row. Furious, Ding Mengwei slaps her back, only to be sentenced to death. She can only rewind and start over. This time, she slaps her mistress first, before the woman can lay a hand on her. It feels great, but she is still sentenced to death, so she rewinds again.

A prince gets drunk, and she happens to pass by. She nearly ends up in his bed. There are too many ways for a palace maid to have rotten luck, so she has no choice but to keep rewinding. But this palace-intrigue novel is endless, and before long she is caught up in a deadly tangle of desire. The palace mistresses grow jealous of her, and the princes all want to claim her. A few of them even start to go mad, and the old emperor on the throne above them has his eye on her too.

On the palace tower, she tells them to stay back, then coldly declares, "You've forced me into this. I have no hope in this life, so I may as well die."

She leaps from the tower. They rush forward to catch her, but all they can do is look at her lying in a pool of blood. Their eyes blaze with anguish, and they begin to lose their minds.
