[A story about an otome game writer who gets transported into an otome game]

No matter how many people urge him, Lu Qiao still won't confess. He lives by four words: Next time, for sure!

Ye Xin once wondered if Lu Qiao liked her, but since he showed absolutely no sign of confessing, eventually she got too embarrassed to wonder about it anymore.

When Ye Xin hurried to the funeral home, she saw one of her relatives reach out and barely shake Lu Qiao's hand. With his usual broad smile, he said, "Xiao Lu, we're counting on you. Make the old man look lively."

He gave Lu Qiao's hand a limp shake, then let go and immediately rubbed it hard against his trousers again and again, without the slightest concern that Lu Qiao was standing right in front of him.

Ye Xin stepped forward, putting herself between them, and took Lu Qiao's hand in hers. "I really, really am counting on you. I'm sorry he offended you just now. I hope it doesn't affect your mood while you work."

It was the first time in more than twenty years that the two of them had met as an embalmer and the family of the deceased.

Lu Qiao had always wanted to uphold "love and peace" at all costs, like a hippie.

But later, he realized it was easier to be a cowboy who charged straight ahead.

"Keep going. Don't look back."
