After his grandmother passed away, Lin Fansheng was hospitalized with a stomach ulcer, his ex wouldn't leave him alone, and he took a train south hoping to see the sea, only to accidentally get off at the wrong stop along the way. As he was trying to process all the troubles piling up, a flower bed came crashing down from above, barely missing his head before exploding beside his feet.
He couldn't help thinking that staying alive in his zodiac year was lucky enough.
Exhausted and irritated, he walked into a shop with a convenience store downstairs and lodging upstairs. Then he lost his ID card, his phone went missing, and even the cactus by the lodging reception desk made him feel worse with its prickly needles.
After facing the merciless, sweltering heat of the south, Lin Fansheng had no choice but to go back into the air-conditioned convenience store. He knocked on the counter and asked quietly, "Do you harvest kidneys?"
The crew-cut hottie at the counter froze.
Lin Fansheng leaned toward him and said, "One kidney for a few nights' lodging."
The crew-cut hottie grinned. "We don't use anesthetic when we harvest kidneys here."
And so began a story about kidney harvesting. Just kidding...

Before they officially began climbing the mountain, Lin Fansheng grabbed Chen Xing and asked, "Have you heard?"
Chen Xing straightened his hat and leaned close to his ear. "Heard what?"
"Mount Tai only brings together people destined for each other," Lin Fansheng said.
"What are you afraid of?" Chen Xing smiled. "Do you trust me or the mountain?"
They had only climbed a mountain twice, and each time it seemed to carry some kind of meaning.
"There's snow everywhere. Why come to Changbai Mountain?" Lin Fansheng asked.
"Changbai Mountain is also called Baekdu Mountain," Chen Xing answered.
Too bad we won't grow old together.
