Question: What do you think of the saying, "Getting a good reincarnation is a skill"?
Answer: Thanks for asking. Not only am I the daughter of a high-ranking official, I can cultivate immortality too. Life is great!
Question: What's it like being a second-generation cultivator?
Answer: Heh, life is pretty good :). It would be even better if so many people weren't eyeing my family, if my younger siblings weren't trapped in the plots of tragic novels, and if it weren't my family getting wiped out...
As the eldest daughter of the Northern Emperor and a princess of the Upper Realm, Su Heng has had everything go her way, except for her relationship with her birth mother. That is, until one day she awakens memories of her past life and realizes she is living inside several novels.
Her second sister, Xue Bai, is the haughty villainess in an old-school Mary Sue novel;
her third sister, Wan Ruo, is the vicious villainess in a novel about a beloved junior sister;
her fourth sibling, Yan Zhou, is the rival male character in a novel about a proud hero's rise to power;
her fifth sister, Xuan Ying, is the brainless villainess in a story about the irreconcilable divide between good and evil;
her sixth sister, Yun Rong, is the devoted villainess in a story about swapping an immortal's core and bones;
her seventh sister, Xian Dai, is the beloved white moonlight in a story about farming and the imperial exams;
and her father is a villainous heavenly envoy who combines the traits of the final boss from all six novels!
As for Su Heng herself, she gets fewer than twenty words across all six novels.
"Even after the Northern Emperor died, Su Heng never returned from the Void Abyss."
Thinking of how her family is supposed to end up, Su Heng chuckles and crushes the ten-thousand-year-old black tortoise shell sent as tribute from the Eastern Sea.
Reader's guide: Be civil in the comments. The heroine isn't a good person, so don't overthink it.
Theme: Take charge of your own life, even when your fate seems set.
The old mother of the Chen family is so good at changing her face.
