Lin Ruo stared silently at the skeleton in front of her as it opened and closed its mouth, reciting standard English listening test lines:

“You now have five seconds to read the first question...”

A punch sent the skull flying.

“Making me take an English listening test, are you? Making me take an English listening test!”

Violent Lin Ruo shook the skeleton in front of her with all her might. “You’re already bones! Can’t you go lie in a coffin somewhere?!”

The “wronged” skull, lying off to the side: “I don’t want to do this either, but it affects your score.”

The broadcast continued:

“Student 202297, Lin Ruo. Your assigned mission is ‘Soul Lost in a Haunted House.’ Proceed to the test immediately.”
