In the summer of my freshman year of high school, I fell in love with a boy at first sight, and I had a crush on him for three years until the last day of my senior year in high school, but I couldn't muster up the courage to confess. I was afraid, I told myself that I was afraid of the consequences of early love, but in fact, in a sense, I knew very well that what I was really afraid of was rejection. I hid my fear behind school rules and family rules with peace of mind. As time went by, I began to feel that something in my heart seemed to have gone bad, something that could never be recovered.
