Heavenly Flower

I started writing this story after watching an anime called "Hanada Shonen-shi". The idea came from one of its episodes, so I'm not sure if I've done it justice. I wanted to write a love story that wasn't quite so fairytale-like, so here it is. Like in real life, two people who love each other don't necessarily end up together, and what we hope for with all our hearts doesn't always come true. The only thing that strays from reality is the idea that after death, we might still be aware of anything.

The story begins only after one person has died. That woman's heart remained forever in the summer of her youth, when an unknown flower was in bloom. She doesn't hate herself for giving in to reality, but if she had known how deeply she loved someone, she wouldn't have let him go.
