That year, Chen Lian met Jian Yi singing in a dimly lit alley. The girl wore a short blue blouse and her black hair was braided into two plaits, dressed like a woman from the Jiangnan water towns. Her cool, clear eyes stared straight at him. It was love at first sight, and so began the story of Chen Lian and Jian Yi.
A war of love was about to break out.
His amorous looks perfectly matched his flirtatious nature.
He played fast and loose with life, doing whatever he pleased and taking no one seriously. Bars and basketball courts were his usual haunts. He had never had a home.
Jian Yi dreamed of becoming a star. She never expected to meet Chen Lian that year. Seeing how listless he was, she immediately felt they were alike. Their hearts were gloomy, their souls rotten. No one loved them, so neither of them had ever had a home.
Perhaps out of sympathy for someone in the same plight, or perhaps... because she stood to gain something, she approached Chen Lian.
“Chen Lian, don't be afraid. Keep moving forward. I'll lead the way.”
That year, Jian Yi received a bracelet of red beans.
Why give red beans?
Because you are the southern land in my heart.
But that year, Jian Yi still left.
“Little fox, can you still be my little fox?”
“Chen Lian, we're not right for each other. Let's break up.”
From then on, Chen Lian changed and went back to playing fast and loose with life, as if he had never changed at all.
Years later, they met again at a banquet.
“Jian Yi, do you regret it?”
“Chen Lian, I just want to ask you one thing: do you still love me? If you do, marry me. I'll give you a home.”
You are the only oasis I long for in this barren desert.
Cool and heartless fox vs. vicious, amorous playboy

Too lazy to update. . . . It's been three months. . .
Keep showing off, how to write, it's so difficult...
What should I do if I can't continue writing? I feel like I'm exhausted when writing the second chapter. Forget it, come on.
