I watched the movie after watching the fanfic, but I still think Crane is cute, and the stepmother and the knight are really unlovable. . . .
Just looked for it 1In the end, the knight bit off the woman's tongue? 2 The devil will be with the devil after all. After the Headless Horseman found his head, he saw his stepmother. That kiss contained anger and evil and was full of desire for blood. The Headless Horseman took the devil back to hell, and the world became colorful again. This is more reliable.
The first satirical version can be longer. The second one is that our souls are so similar, which is a good explanation. In fact, the knight can be written from a woman's perspective again. It seems that more doubts came out after you wrote it. I didn't think too much about it when I read it, so I wanted to read the original work, or I could help you find a review of the film, and then I would ask you to write a sequel. Ps It turns out you opened a trap for Danish fairy tales... Q can't be said on ps, it will collapse.
