Jinchan, banished to the mortal world; the stone monkey, trapped beneath a mountain; the wise and unassuming Jade Dragon; Bajie, mistakenly born into a pig's body; the river demon with a skull on his head; the drought demon, whose resentment turned to bone; Baihuaxiu, whose life was destroyed; the queen sworn to take revenge; and the second mind born of resentment...

Who brought these tragedies about?

The gods and Buddhas.

They say: All fates and causes are decreed by Heaven. They say: These tribulations were destined.

The many ways of the world and the suffering of all living beings are merely a casual smile from the gods and Buddhas.

Fate?

Li Mingda doesn't believe in it.

She will defy this so-called decree that "life and death are fated, wealth and honor lie with Heaven," and demand justice for herself, for others, and for all things in the world.

The banyan vine enters the cycle of reincarnation and sheds its mortal bones. The twin rhinoceros pestles wield endless power and cut through schemes. The journey west is difficult at every turn, with sorrow waiting at every stop. With a single strike, the princess will destroy all evil.

[Please Read Before Starting]

1. The heroine has a powerful secret identity, and her writing is a little over-the-top. The romance doesn't go smoothly, so read with caution.

2. The love interest is Brother Monkey, a fluffy humanoid. They start out as senior and junior fellow disciples.

3. The pace is slow from the start. In the middle and later parts, the story shifts into a wish-fulfillment tale from the heroine's perspective. No fighting over men. The characters have twists, and the women support one another, stand on their own, and are a bunch of fierce sisters who go on a rampage.

4. A reimagining of mythology and Journey to the West, including but not limited to: punishing scoundrels, revenge, solving mysteries, cute pets, romance, suspense, and explanations of mythological legends.
