Heaven Gave Me a Wife

To govern the realm, the emperor’s consciousness split into three. One became the head of a powerful clan, the cabinet chancellor who held the court in his grasp and was unmatched in the capital! Another became the marshal and great general who commanded all the realm’s armies, known as the Demon War God! By a twist of fate, a third fragment of his consciousness became a bookish young man in a rural farming family! The bookish youth was known as a child prodigy, but his poor health kept him from earning any honors. He had a fiancée whom he had taken in and raised by his side since childhood. She was gentle and considerate, and so lovely she seemed beyond compare... At first, the emperor merely possessed the bookish youth from time to time, watching coldly from the sidelines. But the more he watched, the more he began to harbor shameful desires of his own. On the day the bookish youth passed the imperial examination and sat for the palace exam, the emperor concealed his filthy intentions and pretended to offer advice: “Marriage is no trifling matter. A young man should establish his career before starting a family!” The new top scholar blushed. “I-I want to get married soon.” The whole court burst into laughter. The emperor ground his teeth. On the day the top scholar got married: The chancellor came to the shabby top scholar’s residence and sneered sourly, “How could a delicate beauty be matched with a sickly rat?” A band of cutthroat soldiers under the great general surrounded the residence. “Anyone who goes in dies!” The emperor smashed the table beneath his hand. “She is my wife!” !!!!!! The civil and military officials: ... Is the Great Xing Dynasty about to fall? Give us back our wise ruler and capable ministers!!! Only then did the emperor realize that he could not control the bookish youth’s consciousness, and that the other two had developed minds of their own as well. Through his main consciousness, they had even been spying on and coveting the top scholar’s fiancée day and night, just like him...
