I only wanted to be an ordinary person
--But fate had other plans
For some reason, a boy who was reincarnated and is now called "Nishihara Kaito" only wants to experience life as an ordinary wage earner in this modern age of widespread legal awareness.
For some reason, though, his working life is full of setbacks:
Just starting out, he gets invited to be the nanny of a magician's son.
During a volunteer program to care for the elderly, a bomb is planted in his apartment.
While working as a bartender, his blond coworker asks him for the ultimate honey-trap technique.
While working as a waiter, a frequent customer with catlike eyes keeps looking at him as if wanting to say something.
He's dragged into helping the chef at the nearby □□ restaurant make a connection, only to run into familiar faces all dressed in black.
In the end, when he sees the Public Security officer in distress, Nishihara Kaito volunteers to help:
"If there's someone you can't kill, or someone you don't want to kill, just tell me."
*
1. After reincarnating, the protagonist is a pure-blooded human with memories of his past life. He won't join any anime's supernatural side.
2. Kaito will be a fan of the protagonist, not Aoko. The protagonist is the child he loves most.
3. The protagonist really is just an ordinary wage earner. He likes trying different jobs to experience life.
4. The protagonist is still incredibly strong. His talent is mastery of all martial arts, and if he knows how to use a weapon, he can use it well.
5. All the police academy friends survive. If there is a pairing, it will definitely be Kaito and one of the police academy friends (more likely there won't be a pairing in the main story).
6. It's probably going to be a short-to-medium-length story that doesn't take itself seriously. Akai may get put through the wringer. The blurb is provisional.
7. The protagonist's name is pronounced the same as Kaito's, and his Japanese nickname is Hara.
Theme: A diamond cannot stay buried in the dust.
