I Came to My Senses Before Jumping Off the Cliff

I stood at the edge of the Reincarnation Cliff, about to leap, ready to follow the person I loved most into the mortal world and experience every bitterness of life alongside him. But at that very moment, I gained memories of countless years yet to come. Suddenly... I wasn't so keen on jumping off the cliff anymore. Third-person narration. I'll add the rest of the blurb later. Theme: Watch a play unfold.
