Good news: I have a supernatural ability that lets me read the thoughts of people around me.
Bad news: It's a two-way ability. When I read someone's thoughts, they can hear mine too.
And the ability is out of control.
To avoid having absolutely no privacy, I even went to farm in the remote reaches of Siberia. Later, I heard that Yokohama, Japan, had someone who was the ultimate counter to ability users, so I dropped by and joined the Mafia.
What? You want to know my name?
I'm Zhang San, a pure-blooded Chinese person.
Hey, Edogawa Ranpo, your thoughts are coming too fast. I can't understand them.
Don't worry, Senior Ango. I won't tell the boss you're an undercover agent. (Because he already knows.)
Ah, why can't you understand my thoughts? Chinese people only think in Chinese, thanks.

First-person narration.
The opening takes place earlier in the timeline.
The protagonist's name isn't Zhang San. He's just running his mouth.
I hereby vow, even though I always go off track while writing, that this story will have very little mind gaming!
Lots of original settings, too.
Also, to prevent any misunderstandings, let me clarify: if I haven't seen it in the manga, it doesn't exist. If I pretend not to see it, it doesn't exist either. For example, the vampires in the later parts of the Bungo Stray Dogs manga don't exist. All information is current up to Season 3 of the anime. No angst, happy ending, everyone survives.
Theme: World peace.
