In the late years of the previous dynasty, the dead lay piled upon one another, and sorrowful cries seemed to reach the heavens. Warlords rose on every side, and natural disasters raged.
The emperor was born a commoner. He ended the chaos of the previous dynasty and brought the realm together.
He founded the Xing Dynasty and named his reign Tianyuan.
What is it like to transmigrate as the young son of the founding emperor, with elder brothers and sisters above you and several nephews and nieces below?
Chen Xufang says the joy is beyond words. You'd have to experience it to understand.
If you transmigrated as the young son of the founding emperor, would you choose:
A: Lie flat and live a life of luxury
B: Fight for the throne and rule the world
C: Devote your life to the people and the realm
D: An obtuse angle
The realm is newly united. After years of war and natural disasters, most fields lie fallow, and the people have barely enough bran and beans to eat. They suffer hunger and cold.
The Tianyuan Emperor gives the people hope: freedom from the suffering of war, time to recover, and an end to their wandering.
Later, a young man born at the same time as the Great Xing Dynasty gives the people a dreamlike life of peace and prosperity, with plenty of food and full bellies.
Lighthearted Blurb:
Having just arrived in another world, he discovers that he's the seventh prince of the founding emperor!
Xufang feels only dread. Thinking of the bloody stories in the history books about brothers turning against one another and palace coups to seize the throne, he can already picture himself losing his head!
But as time goes by, everything takes a different turn.
Crown Prince: "Little Seventh, would you like to be the heir?"
Son of the chancellor: "Since the little prince wants the highest seat, I can only risk my life and accompany him."
Emperor Yuan: "Little Seventh has always been different."
Other brothers: "Little Seventh, why not come to my fief?"
The people: "The little prince really is a celestial being incarnate. Such great wisdom must come at a cost!"
This is a fictional setting. The level of development and parts of the structure are loosely based on the late Yuan and early Ming, but many details are blended together, such as the pace at which Neo-Confucianism developed.
The protagonist is genuinely sickly. This is a pampered-by-everyone story, probably a mix of raising a child and infrastructure-building.
Estimated completion: June 2025 | Doing my best to update daily!
Little Seventh is still walking his path, and the author is still writing.
If you like it, please add it to your collection and leave a comment~ I'll read every one of your messages over and over.
I put my heart into every chapter. If you read it carefully, that alone will make me happy.
Chapter 19 has a romance subplot for a villain that I didn't handle well, and it may make some readers uncomfortable. Feel free to skip it. The beginning is a slow burn. The story is mainly about warmth and relationships, with infrastructure-building as a secondary focus. The balance reverses once he reaches adulthood.
Don't miss this! A preview of my next planned novel: She's an Empress, Not an Imperial Princess. Please don't be shy about adding it to your collection. Just put it right in my bowl, thank you!
She's just the daughter of an obscure minor lord. She has no title, no troops, no backing, and not even a decent horse. But in troubled times, no one asks where you come from. They only ask who dares to act.
Her father says, "Help me win this realm. Once I'm on the throne, I'll make you the most honored Grand Princess."
Her brother says, "You're the sister dearest to me. When I become emperor, you'll have a title above all others and enjoy all the glory in the world."
She smiles and nods, then turns around and heads to the barracks, seizes the grain routes, and recruits surrendered generals.
Later, just as her father is defeated and the city falls, he changes his tune: "Your brother still has a chance to fight. Go help him."
She looks at the father and son and smiles. "You keep passing me back and forth, but neither of you ever planned to let me rule for myself."
Then she'll make them princesses instead.
She turns around and founds her own dynasty.
Later, her defeated brother kneels before the hall and asks her, "Didn't you say you wouldn't fight for the throne?"
Seated high above him, she answers gently:
"I didn't fight for it. You were just too slow.
You said you'd make me a Grand Princess? Sorry, I became emperor first.
Theme: Establishing a moral compass for the world, securing the people's livelihood, carrying on the teachings of the sages, and bringing peace to all generations
It's well written. I'll keep updating after a while. The writing style has changed a lot. I was a bit novice at first, but the progress in the last few dozen chapters has been extraordinary. It's especially beautiful. I hope everything Xiao Qi wants to do can be implemented smoothly, and I hope Ran Chang retains his original intention.
