The Armed Detective Agency is one of Yokohama's three major forces protecting the city. Most of their work comes from requests made by others. At some point, they began receiving more and more requests, most of them from the families of people who had died by unexplained suicide.
As they investigated these cases, they discovered that they were only the beginning.
More and more ability users, strange creatures, and an increasing number of deaths...
But only after looking deeper into the investigation did they realize that it all seemed closely connected to the girl they'd encountered in a cafe.
Madoka is an ordinary second-year student at Mitakihara Municipal Middle School. One day, while walking along as usual, she sees the cute but strange creature from her dream, calling her by name.
As she chases the creature, she completely fails to notice her surroundings changing. It isn't until she arrives at a cafe that she stops.
When she realizes the creature has disappeared, she discovers that she's in a completely unfamiliar place, surrounded by a group of people, each with their own distinctive appearance.
And so begins a life that can only be called a grand adventure.
