A Summer Encounter

During summer vacation, I went back to my hometown to help my grandma attract customers to her fish stall in the Fifth City Market.

Across from the seafood shop was Zhao Qianshu, who sold books.

Everyone in the Fifth Vegetable Market knew the Zhao and Wu families didn't get along. Of course, that feud had been passed down from our parents' generation to ours.

Growing up, Zhao Qianshu and I argued every time we met, and the air was always charged with hostility.

But little by little, I realized that our relationship was starting to change.
