A young Thunder Hashira from a parallel world hadn't even figured out where he was when he got bound to a strange thing.
He was told he had to act in character in this world, or suffer debuffs imposed by the world.
The dejected boy didn't even lift his eyelids. He turned away indifferently, his golden ponytail drawing a beautiful arc. "Suit yourself."
The Demon Slayer Corps heard that a powerful swordsman had appeared in a distant place. When they went to investigate, they were stunned by what they saw.
The blood-soaked boy held his sword, lightning crackling all around him. His haori's original color was no longer discernible.
When he turned around, his familiar yet unfamiliar face instantly broke down everyone's defenses.
Later, Agatsuma Zenitsu's body finally gave out. He began cooperating with the endless strange debuffs so he could survive and kill more demons in this world, too.
Please stay in character: Crybaby
"Am I supposed to cry like this?"
On the hospital bed, the pale, frail, golden-haired boy blinked his lashes as tears kept streaming down his cheeks.
The Sound Hashira had come to watch the spectacle, but froze at the door. The glint of gold dazzled him, making even the diamonds on his cheeks flash. It was so dazzling his heart skipped a beat.
"This kid is unbelievably flashy..."
Please stay in character: Timid
"I'm sorry... Someone like me is sure to die."
The blood-soaked golden-haired boy refused in a quiet voice, but held his friend's hand tightly.
"Tanjiro, this time, please believe in me. Believe in everyone."
Kamado Tanjiro stared at him, stunned. Why did the scent around this Zenitsu feel so sad that it made him want to cry...?
Please stay in character: Avoidant
"I won't become the top courtesan in Yoshiwara."
The boy knelt before the mirror, his beautiful golden hair cascading down. No matter how much the owner of Kyogokuya tried to persuade him, he wouldn't budge.
"You're talented, gorgeous, and have a great figure. If not you, then who?" The owner's eyes were full of money, and he refused to listen.
No one could imagine what the Agatsuma Zenitsu from another world had been through. They only knew that the boy who should have been lively and energetic was now as still as stagnant water, enveloped in deathly silence.
The contrast was especially striking when the two Zenitsus stood together.
Zenitsu from another world: ...So weak.
Zenitsu from this world: Who the hell is that!!!? That's definitely not me!!!
Agatsuma Zenitsu never understood why these people thought he was strong.
Because in his world, he really was just a timid, selfish, reality-avoiding crybaby.

The blurb is provisional. The title is provisional. I'm a sucker for this stuff.
The parallel-world setup is melodramatic, just the usual this and that and then some.
