Don't Pick Up Random Men on the Road

*I still want to pick up this abandoned story and write it. It's still a series of modern paranormal and metaphysical mini-arcs, and the female lead's naturally dark-skinned character remains unchanged. I've put the blurb up. Readers who aren't interested can remove it from their collections. I'm truly, truly sorry (kneels). Xiong Ye, 2024.12.10

[I picked up some kind of creature on the road, but it won't drink goat's milk or eat anything. Asking everyone online for help!] [Hot]

1L: A creature? It? Is it a kitten or a puppy? What kind of weird wording is that?

2L: If it can't swallow, try force-feeding it with a syringe. It's getting cold, so keep it warm, and definitely don't bathe it. How big does it look?

Original poster: I tried feeding it with a syringe, but it threw everything up. There was blood in it! It looks about 22 or 23, I guess? I can't tell how old it is.

4L: ...Wait, what did you pick up? Call the police right now! Why are you trying to feed it?!

5L: Didn't people tell you not to pick up strange men on the road?

Original poster: I know that, but it seems like I'm the only person in the world who can see him...

6L: Confirmed, the original poster is a writer.

7L: Confirmed, the original poster is an idiot.

8L: He's so fragile that only you can see him in the whole world, right? The urgent matter now is making lovesickness a crime. Stop posting here and annoying everyone. Get lost!

Chu Yixiao put down his phone and looked at the handsome man on the floor, who seemed to be hovering between life and death. A huge pool of blood had spread across the carpet. The family dog, Doudou, cheerfully sat down on the man's head, its tail passing straight through his illusory cheek. The shadows of man and dog eerily merged.

Chu Yixiao nudged him with the tip of his foot and said worriedly, “If I burn offerings for you, will you receive them?”
