Literary-style blurb (Can you believe this was originally meant to be a groveling-after-the-breakup story? orz):
Gu Weishuang once fell madly and wholeheartedly in love with someone. He pined for him for four years.
That's right, "him," not "her." Gu Weishuang likes men.
Unfortunately, the person he loved seemed to be homophobic.
You can imagine how fiercely Gu Weishuang was rejected after his feelings were accidentally discovered when he was drunk.
Eventually, Gu Weishuang grew tired and afraid.
He stopped hoping for his feelings to be returned.
He chose to give up.
But men, for the most part, have this flaw: they don't know how to cherish what they have until they've lost it, and only then do they regret it.
Lu Bai, the person Gu Weishuang had once been madly infatuated with, started pursuing him instead.
But Gu Weishuang no longer dared to give himself away so easily.
Lighthearted blurb:
Ahem, look over here, look over here. Ignore the blurb above. Basically, the bottom likes the top but thinks the top doesn't like him (or rather, doesn't believe the top could like him). The top likes the bottom but doesn't know how to express it, and tries hard to control his physical reactions (the reason will be explained later). It's the story of two silly boys who like each other and stumble their way toward being together.
I gave it a try and decided I'd better stick to writing sweet romance. Angst isn't for me. orz
Reader's guide:
1. The top isn't really straight. They are each other's first and only partners.
2. No angst. The top and bottom dote on each other, and their love is mutual.
3. The bottom won't be put through heartbreak. The story begins with the bottom trying to leave and the top realizing his feelings.
4. The original title, Jian Jia Cang Cang, comes from the Book of Songs.
5. The bottom isn't weak, and his love doesn't come from nowhere. There is no groveling-after-the-breakup arc. (Jinjiang keeps glitching. This is the Nth time I've had to redo it, and I'm fed up. Maybe I'll write a more detailed version later.)
6. The top and bottom start out in a marriage of convenience. They won't divorce; it's a case of marriage first, love later.
7. Important: As the title suggests, the two often fail to understand each other's train of thought.
A slow-paced story of ordinary days, with affection growing steadily over time.
8. I'm open to kind writing advice, if you have any. orz But I won't accept malicious insults. No need to tell me if you drop the story, thanks.
9. Thanks to everyone who's willing to click in and read, guys.
10. Jinjiang glitched and I forgot. I'll add more if I remember. QAQ
Theme: "I love you" is my most instinctive impulse, something greater than the body and greater than the soul.
Sister, you didn't say they were married?!
