The Ordinary Cat Cafe Owner

A cat cafe opened on the old street.

The blue-eyed ragdoll was gorgeous and would go out of its way to bring customers in whenever it spotted a beauty.

The white Persian was lazy and haughty, always placing its tail on the right answer. Students revered it as the "Cat God."

The black cat was alert and handsome. With it around, no one could steal anything from the shop.

The Maine Coon was strong and obedient, often pulling a little cart to help deliver food.

"What anomaly? What spiritual qi revival? Never heard of it," Yan Ze said with an innocent smile. A disaster-level anomaly was pinned beneath his feet, trembling and not daring to move.

A palm-sized orange kitten went "nom" and swallowed the anomaly whole. Then it burped and tilted its head. "Meow~~"

"It's just an ordinary cat cafe," Yan Ze said, warmly inviting them. "So, would you like a milk tea delivered by a kitty?"

Yan Ze, an utterly ordinary cat cafe owner.

Except anomalies flee at the mere mention of him, and those that fail to escape become cat food on the spot...

Every cat in his shop has superpowers...

And he happened to seduce Captain He, that untouchable beauty...

That's all :)

1. Updates at 9 a.m. Other times are just edits, so don't worry about them.

2. A cute little story, mostly about cats going about their day and the male lead beating up monsters (anomalies). The male lead is incredibly strong and has no conscience.

3. Superpowered cats have an unbelievably wide diet. Regular cats, don't try this at home (not really).

4. The CP is He Zhige, a tentacle monster. No secondary couples.

5. My own take on occult lore, set in a fictional world.

Let me recommend my upcoming story, Righteous Kitty, Redeeming the Villain.

Ning An transmigrates into an old-fashioned novel, with a mission to stop the great villain, Shen Muyun, from hurting the male and female leads.

In the novel, Shen Muyun is cold-blooded and brutal, with ruthless methods. Like a venomous snake lurking in the dark, he strikes without warning.

Ning An knows the plot by heart and has made thorough preparations. But after transmigrating, he finds himself looking at a tiny child.

Shen Muyun, the great villain, has just turned nine. He's at the bottom of his class, a child left behind by his migrant-worker parents, and lives with his grandmother and uncle. His uncle drinks too much and likes to hit him. Shen Muyun goes to school covered in bruises every day, where he's bullied all over again.

Ning An, the righteous hero, has just turned one. He's a short-legged, wobbly, round little kitten who's irresistibly soft to pet.

Ning An: "..."

A person can't, or at least shouldn't, make life difficult for a cat.

I'm out! (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

That's what he says, but when the uncle is about to hit Shen Muyun, Ning An secretly helps him get away.

When the school bully demands protection money, Ning An brings the director of academic affairs over.

When Shen Muyun gets sick, the kitten checks his temperature with a paw and even carries a little spoon, panting as he feeds him water.

But the kitten has a temper of his own.

No playing with the cat until you've finished your homework!

As they part, Ning An looks at Shen Muyun's award for being an exemplary student and closes his eyes with satisfaction. He thinks, What great villain? He's a good kid. Maybe my little one will even become top scorer in the college entrance exams.

He closes and opens his eyes, and his human body is back.

Shen Muyun, former exemplary student and future top scorer, is in the distance, fighting a group of people.

Ning An: "!!!"

You jerk!

Shen Muyun is a school bully who fights like he doesn't care if he lives or dies. Everyone at school is afraid of him, and his name alone makes people tremble.

One day, a new transfer student arrives in class. He's fair-skinned, good-looking, and an excellent student: obviously a model kid.

Shen Muyun doesn't pay him any attention until one day, in a narrow alley, that model student steps in front of him.

Shen Muyun is battered and disheveled, holding a knife, his eyes bloodshot. "Get out of the way, or I'll kill you too."

The model student wears a clean, neat school uniform. His slender fingers hold the knife handle steady as he lifts his head and calmly says, "Shen Muyun."

"Come home with me."

Shen Muyun looks down in confusion.

And sees himself reflected in those eyes.

He sees light, too.

We won't sabotage the male and female leads. They're all still kids, after all. Let's all study hard together (not really).

There is no romance before he turns human.

Raising a kid in the first half, falling in love in the second. A story about finding salvation.
