My Patron Is Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang

(This is the next book I'll be working on. I'm already building up a backlog, so if you're interested, add it to your collection and wait for the launch!) After transmigrating, Tana was practically kept alive by Kangxi! The bad news: She transmigrated into the historical Consort Hui. Though she was supposedly the first consort ever named during the Kangxi era, that title was posthumous. And now, she's alive again. The good news: Her surname is Borjigit, and Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang is her great-aunt! Tana: With a powerful backer like that, who does she have to fear? While everyone else competes for the emperor's favor, she hangs around Cining Palace, mooching food and drink. While everyone else has babies, Xiaozhuang tells her she can pick any child she wants to hold! Tana: Never mind, never mind. Becoming a mom without the pain of childbirth is kind of nice, but she's still better suited to lying flat. Later, Kangxi places the newborn Crown Prince in her arms, hoping she'll raise him and become his protector. Tana: Wait, hold on. How did someone who clings to Xiaozhuang's coattails become the Crown Prince's protector? Keep that empress's seal and investiture edict away from me! Weren't we told there would never be another empress from Khorchin?! All she wants is to be a lucky mascot! Important notes: 1. This is an alternate-history Qing dynasty setting with plenty of original worldbuilding. Please don't read it as historical fact. 2. The heroine isn't the emperor's only favorite in the early chapters. There are lots of consorts and lots of children in the harem, so please skip this if that bothers you. Theme: Become a brighter version of yourself
