Steampunk + mysterious elements + another world + secret identities
Crimson Curse is an otome game that caused a sensation during the early stages of its development for one reason: it claimed to be the world's first open-world otome game!
Steampunk style, a Victorian setting, occult elements, and a supernatural battle system...
Otome game fans and non-fans alike went wild!
Judging by the stunning art concepts in the promotional video, the sweeping world-building, and the smooth gameplay demo, this was clearly a AAA game. And it was an otome game???
- But it really does have so many handsome men...
- But it's so cool even straight guys want to make a move on the male characters...
- This looks amazing, hurry up and release it! Don't make me beg on my knees!

Veteran gamer Zhu Yan was shamefully smitten too, joining the hordes of fans waiting for the release and begging for more news.
But after waiting for three years, Crimson Curse was delayed several times. On the day it finally came out, Zhu Yan, who'd been pulling all-nighters for half a month, was still working overtime on designs for a dress-up game. After finally submitting the dazzling outfit PSD file in a panic, she hurriedly switched windows to buy the game, only for...
Her computer to freeze. Zhu Yan had a heart attack, everything went black, and when she woke up, she'd transmigrated into the game world!
Zhu Yan: ???

Exclusive beginner System: You're the only transmigrator in this world, so you'll receive a golden finger.
Zhu Yan: !!!
System: Your golden finger is the five outfits you designed.
Zhu Yan: Give them to me!
System: But you have to collect rare materials to make them. Right now, your starting materials are a piece of cotton cloth, your wealth is 10, and your tailoring skill is zero, so...
Zhu Yan: ?
System: You can work, study, or go adventuring :)
Zhu Yan: Get lost!!!

Later, the Temple of Light finally welcomed its chosen Saintess. Rumor had it that even the aloof High Priest had fallen for her.
Zhu Yan: I wouldn't dare ^-^
A mermaid princess of peerless beauty and wicked power appeared in the Devil's Sea. She conquered countless pirates on her own, and even the Storm Lord willingly submitted to her.
Zhu Yan: I'm humbled ^-^
The Sunflower Dynasty welcomed a mysterious female envoy from the Eastern Divine Kingdom. Even Count Hain, the empress's watchdog, sinister and noble, was currying favor with her.
Zhu Yan: That's a relief ^-^
And the powerful ability user rumored to have stolen the heart of the leader of the Secret Society...
The brilliant female detective who destroyed the central hub of the Investigators' House...
Zhu Yan: Oh my, oh my, oh my ^-^
Zhu Yan: I really don't want to fall in love. I just want to be your ancestor ^-^
Zhu Yan: Crimson Continent, your ancestor is here ^-^
P.S.:
- The secret identity characters will probably change, and may not be the ones described here.
- The love interest probably won't be one of the otome game's male leads. That depends on how I feel when I write it.
- The heroine is the strongest. The main plot is about conquering the world ( ).
- Come and go as you please. Feel free to leave a review or flowers. It's fate that brought us together, and I wish you joy.
Theme: I'm the queen.
