My Childhood Friend and I Became a Top Ship

[Reunited after a breakup]

Gentle, scheming, feisty younger shou vs. timid, tough, domineering, crybaby older gong

Ji Yishu never imagined that one day she'd appear on a dating show with her "disaster" of a childhood friend.

It started when she posted three birthday illustrations on Weibo, and netizens dug up her disastrous childhood friend, Song Qi'an, who had always been in the background.

The night Ji Yishu posted them, Song Qi'an's melancholy aura and stunning profile made her an overnight sensation...

And not only did she become famous, she also became Ji Yishu's rumored girlfriend.

Ji Yishu, who was already deep in the closet, became the "real deal among the dream girls of the lesbian world" overnight. It was hard to even explain what was going on.

To dispel the rumors about their impossible-to-explain relationship and give her career some breathing room, her company got her a spot on a dating reality show.

The show had six guests, three of whom were celebrities.

The other three could be celebrities or ordinary people, but they had to be the celebrities' rumored partners.

So Ji Yishu, who never took part in variety shows, brought Song Qi'an along to the dating show.

Ji Yishu thought she was joining the show to prove they were innocent and put an end to the netizens' suspicions.

But she never expected that from the very first day of filming, Song Qi'an would either make her so mad she bristled or leave her bristling all over again.

"Ji Yishu, hurry up and wash your face. You've got eye gunk in the corner of your eye."

"Ji Yishu, don't be picky about your food. You don't want to set a bad example for the kids watching."

"Let me tell you, Ji Yishu used to wet the bed when she was little..."

Ji Yishu: "Song Qi'an, shut up!"

With a disastrous childhood friend like this, Ji Yishu spent every day ping-ponging between a breakdown and bristling with anger.

But even so, the fans watching couldn't stop shipping them.

Because before she got up, Song Qi'an would thoughtfully put toothpaste on her toothbrush and fill her cup with warm water.

When she was sick, Song Qi'an would make food that was good for her.

When Ji Yishu covered her mouth, Song Qi'an would gently move her hand away and wipe the grease from her palm with a tissue.

The fans watching: Aaaah, they're so good together! My ship is so real, aaaaah!

Ji Yishu finally snapped. "I asked you to clear things up, not make the rumors come true."
