He's Not Fierce

[Ill-tempered deaf artist x sweet and gentle dancer]

The first time Jiang Mian saw Zhou Fan, he was painting on the rooftop.

The young man's long, beautiful fingers held a paintbrush as it glided across the paper.

Everyone said Zhou Fan was ill-tempered and obsessive, and that she should stay away from him.

As if in a trance, Jiang Mian walked over and picked up the paint that had fallen on the ground for him.

The young man took off his hearing aids and looked over with dark eyes. He was every bit as unruly and mean as people said.

Jiang Mian didn't know that one New Year's Eve, later on, Zhou Fan would sit beneath her apartment building and paint her portrait all night.

Snow covered the young man's black hair, and the paint had congealed into clumps.

Every painting was of her.

She didn't know either that, when the accident happened, Zhou Fan had rushed forward like a madman, his hands covered in blood.

One day, the girl's dark eyes shone as she leaned close to Zhou Fan's ear:

"Zhou Fan isn't scary at all.

Jiang Mian likes Zhou Fan."

The unruly young man tenderly and reverently kissed the corner of her lips.
