In a nutshell: Hungry? Just let the little one make a wish~
The Kitchen God's little baby had just turned four when someone kicked her into a book, where she became the childhood version of the doomed female supporting character in a food-themed novel.
In the story, when she grows up, she becomes a talentless fake chef who stubbornly competes for the title of imperial chef, deceives the emperor, and eventually dies of hunger on the streets. But...
None of that has anything to do with the four-year-old little one right now. If she doesn't eat soon, she'll starve to death right here!
The little one tosses aside the book and looks at the empty rice jar. A tiny pearl of a tear falls.
How can there not be a single grain of rice in the jar?
The Kitchen God's little one feels so wronged that her lips wobble. She lies on the stove and sobs, "Daddy Kitchen God, your little one is going to starve to death, boohoo~ I want something to eat~ I want meat~"
Wish-granting Marketplace System bound!
Ding! Wish granted!
Ding! A knock at the door. A kind neighbor brings over a bowl of rice porridge.
Ding! An injured fat pigeon falls into her hands and passes out!
Ding...
The male lead is the God of Wealth's eldest son. At nine, he should be afraid of nothing, but now he's terrified of the sound "ding."
After accidentally slipping and kicking the Kitchen God's little one into the book, the male lead is bundled up and tossed into it by his father, the God of Wealth. He becomes the ninth prince, an unwanted child in the palace who never has enough to eat or wear.
As if that weren't enough, he's forcibly bound to a Wish-granting Marketplace System!
He can't use the wish-granting feature, but the marketplace is open to him. It's just that this marketplace is a little unusual...
Ding! The little one is starving. Please buy her a bowl of rice porridge!
(System notification: If the little one dies, you won't survive either!)
Great, now he's tied to the Kitchen God's little one's life.
The equally hungry male lead looks up at the marketplace. The only item lit up is a bowl of rice porridge, glowing gold. Beneath it, the price reads: ten gold a bowl.
The unwanted, penniless male lead: ??? Robbery! Are they trying to kill me?!
His God of Wealth father is robbing his own son!
The little one is hungry, the little one is tired, the little one is cold, the little one wants to make a wish!
Later, when the little one grows up, she makes a wish: System, I want the person I like to like me too.
The male lead: "The marketplace doesn't sell that!"
Bonus scene:
The little one: "I was bound to a Wish-granting Marketplace System back then, but I could only make wishes. I never saw where the marketplace was."
The male lead: "...It's bound to me."
The main story has no cultivation or spiritual energy. The gods live in the background. It's set in an alternate ancient world, and the little one has a golden finger.
Wish-granting lucky charm (she makes wishes to the hapless male lead). The little one makes the wishes, and the male lead does all the shopping!
