The summer Xia Mingzhe took a leave of absence from school, the two of them went their separate ways. They thought they would be nothing more than passersby in each other's lives, but they met again.
No one knew what Xia Mingzhe had gone through over the years, why he had taken a leave of absence, or why he later vanished from everyone's sight in such a sorry state.
Then, one year, the headline appeared: Fashion's Rising Star Xia Mingzhe Bursts onto the Scene.
He appeared on University X's campus forum and returned to everyone's view once again.
After finishing teaching that class of students, Si Chen quit his job and went to work at an institute that taught young children to draw. It was how he made a living.
As soon as he saw the headline, Si Chen went to find Xia Mingzhe.
"We're not teacher and student anymore. Can I pursue you now?"
"Still keeping your eye on me after all these years, huh?"
"You keep looking at me. It's kind of embarrassing. Do you like me?"
Well, there he goes, jumping to conclusions. Xia Mingzhe thought.
"Yeah, you old fox. Could you have a little shame?"
The two embraced tightly beneath the dawn sky.

Happy ending
A little angst along the way
