Some people died unexpectedly, losing the bright and dazzling lives they should have had.
Through a twist of fate, some lucky ones were given a chance to come back to life. After signing a series of mission contracts with a System claiming to be from an interstellar research institute, they entered little worlds to carry out missions.
Their mission was to become the protagonist's golden finger.
Some chosen ones were protected by their worlds, living smooth lives and rising to success, beloved by the Heavenly Dao.
Others were forced to endure pain and suffering they should never have experienced because their worlds came under attack from outside forces, eventually turning down the path of darkness.
The Interstellar Research Institute's System 06 was created for this very reason.
The System brought Hosts into these little worlds under external attack. They diligently completed missions, protected the chosen ones, and served as human-shaped cheat codes for the protagonists.
They considered themselves hardworking and conscientious, all so they could earn enough points to revive themselves as soon as possible.
But... why did the chosen ones all end up confessing to their Hosts?
System: "...Huh? A new development. I'll record it... once... twice... three times..."
System: "?"
Host: "( ̄^ ̄)?"
[Some spend half their lives mired in illness and hardship. Some see only darkness, without a single ray of light to slip through. As children, they had never experienced kindness, so they hid their hatred in their eyes, lying low in the dark before throwing themselves into the abyss.]
[They thought the cycle would go on forever, until someone came from beyond the heavens, cleared the clouds for them, and opened a window to the sky. From then on, light spread across the whole land. They discovered that life was long, and that it could, in fact, be filled with light.]
[Reader's Guide]
One-on-one, both leads' first love, stories focused on the gong, with separate protagonists and independent plots in each arc.
A self-indulgent, melodramatic story written just for fun, but it's really sweet!!
A mutually doting romance. The shou falls first, and the gong returns his feelings later. Not suitable for readers with strong gong- or shou-focused preferences.
All settings serve the plot, and all plot serves the romance.
My writing and logic are both a bit amateurish. Writing is hard, so if you don't like it, please leave politely.
Theme: Keep kindness in your heart, and let the light shine on us all
