Today I checked the calendar and suddenly realized I've been on Jinjiang for almost two months.
I still remember how nervous I was when I first posted a story on the site. My writing was so raw. Would anyone really read it?
But you came.
When I was stuck and ready to give up, when I read other people's novels and could only marvel at how much better they were, when real-life responsibilities kept me so busy I could barely think, you quietly left comments, added my story to your favorites, and encouraged me.
A few days ago, someone swindled me out of money when I was buying study materials. After two exhausting days of hard work, I had nothing to show for it. I lay awake in bed in the middle of the night, feeling absolutely miserable. How could anyone be so awful?
But some people really are awful, and some people are wonderful, too.
I needed to heal myself, and I started wondering if I could try to help others as well.
Life always brings its share of disappointments, leaving us depressed and doubting ourselves. But sometimes all it takes is a little encouragement from someone to help us get back on our feet.
So I started this little project. If any of you sweet readers run into trouble in your lives, leave me a comment and vent your frustrations. I'll write you a letter.
I'll also use this space to record bits of my daily life and inspiration.
