Marrying the Blind, Disgraced Crown Prince in My Sister's Place

Jiang Xuan’s older sister was betrothed to the Crown Prince by the Emperor before they were even born.

But later, the Crown Prince was deposed, blinded, and confined to a dilapidated temple outside the city. Even so, the imperial betrothal still stood.

The imperial decree could not be defied, but her sister refused to marry a crippled man. Jiang Xuan had no choice but to disguise herself as her sister and marry him instead.

Jiang Xuan imagined life after the wedding like this: a crumbling temple, rain and wind leaking in, nothing to eat, and her blind husband frowning and sighing all day.

But married life was actually like this: the temple was clean, and the fruits and vegetables were fresh. Her husband was content with a simple life, always attentive and caring, and gentle to her.

Feeling the Crown Prince’s meticulous care, Jiang Xuan thought, He really loves my sister.

.

Later, the Crown Prince executed the treacherous officials, returned to the palace, and ascended the throne. He intended to make her his empress.

On the day of her investiture, the officials and their wives were all present. Seeing that she could no longer keep the truth hidden, Jiang Xuan planned to quietly switch places with her sister.

The day she slipped away, her husband chased her on horseback all the way outside the city. The coarse blue robe he had worn back then had been replaced by imperial robes and a jade belt. He held out the hand that had once picked flowers and brewed tea with her.

"A Xuan, come back."
