Originally titled "Turning Fate Around"
Mu Yun once loved someone very much.
He was born into a distinguished family, tall and graceful, with a manner and appearance unmatched in the world. He was famous from a young age and valued by the emperor, and many young women in the capital admired him.
As the only commandery princess in the capital with a fief, Mu Yun was peerlessly honored. Naturally, she could have whatever she wanted.
So the noble young princess immediately asked her cousin, the emperor, to issue an imperial edict granting her and Liu Yunran a marriage.
She married him full of joy and hope, but waited until the day she died without ever winning his love.
Reborn, she finally accepts reality and decides to set him free. But the once-distant Lord Liu has turned into a clingy lump of sugar that she can't shake off, no matter what she does!
She kindly suggests that they call off the engagement.
He looks downcast. “Does the princess really dislike me that much?”
She pretends to be ill.
He says with righteous conviction, “The princess has always had my best interests at heart. How could I be so ungrateful?”
She angrily runs away from the wedding.
He... doesn't show up this time. Instead, a servant he sent to wait outside holds up the bundle she just threw out. “Is the princess looking for this?”
At last, on her wedding night, she finally gets the divorce agreement she wanted.
...But it takes a year.
It's not her fault! Lord Liu's gaze is just too gentle and sincere.
With the lamplight all around and the night intoxicating, not losing her head would have taken tremendous restraint!
But later, she loses her head anyway
The courtyard is bathed in moonlight, and a fragrant breeze drifts by.
The jade-like gentleman in her heart strokes her hair and murmurs tenderly in her ear, “A Yun, I love you so much.”
The young princess: Waaah, he's using his good looks to seduce me.
You are the purest light in my heart, and I will spend my life lifting you up.
Gentle gentleman × sweet and spirited commandery princess
[Please Note]
1. Both leads are reborn. Sweet romance.
2. One-on-one romance with a happy ending. Read with confidence.
3. There is some groveling, but it doesn't reach the point of burning down the house. The hero isn't a scumbag. (In his previous life, his feelings grew over time, and he didn't realize he liked her. He never deliberately treated her coldly.)
4. The setting is fictional. Its customs and institutions draw on a mixture of sources, so please don't nitpick the details.
5. Due to work and life, updates are irregular for now. You may want to wait until there are more chapters, though it's basically almost finished.
6. Please add it to your favorites!
Upcoming Story 1
"The Emperor's Only Love"
Two years after the new emperor took the throne, he finally agrees to name an empress after his ministers and the empress dowager repeatedly urge him to do so.
After much consideration, the ministers settle on Wen Ran, the youngest granddaughter of Grand Academician Wen.
The Wen family is full of worry.
On her wedding day, they surround Wen Ran and spend all night giving her one warning after another, telling her to control her temper and avoid getting herself into trouble.
So every day, she has to mind proper etiquette, handle all the affairs of the harem, and put up with the emperor's endless annoyances.
For example, the emperor always comes to chat just as she's about to go to sleep. She's so tired she can barely keep her eyes open, but after saying a couple of things, he leaves.
And whenever there's a major or minor festival, the emperor loves inviting the capital's noblewomen and their wives into the palace for a banquet. She scurries around busy with preparations, while he stops by for a quick look and leaves.
And then there's the time the emperor decides to have someone's head cut off in court. The ministers can't talk him out of it, so they all run to her and ask her to “fulfill her duty of admonishing His Majesty.”
She wants nothing more than to drag him over and beat him up herself, but because of her family, she can only grit her teeth and smile.
Until she dreams that she finally becomes emperor, and her dear husband, who always gets her into trouble, kneels before her looking bewildered.
She grins darkly. “Guards, throw him out! Send him to the treasury to count rice!”
The emperor, still too stunned to react: “?”
Zhao Jingxi has been having strange dreams lately. In them, his gentle and charming empress becomes an emperor who spends all day giving him a hard time.
And he becomes one of her male consorts, reduced to a subordinate position and unable to fight back, so he has no choice but to endure the humiliation.
Whenever he wakes up and remembers the humiliation of his dreams, he grits his teeth and vows to confront the empress that day.
But every time he sees her, she's as gentle and courteous as ever, and he can't help closing his eyes and clenching his fist. It's only a dream. I need to stay calm.
A wise emperor shouldn't take his anger out on others because of a baseless dream.
So he keeps enduring it. When awake, he and the empress treat each other with courtesy and respect. In his dreams, they battle wits and schemes.
Until one day, the empress in his dream tells him to attend her in bed
After waking, Zhao Jingxi leans against his pillow and gazes at the faint light of dawn outside the window. Remembering the soft warmth of her lips in the dream, he lets out a quiet sigh.
I'm done for. I've fallen for her!
Meanwhile, Wen Ran pats her chest, still shaken.
That was close. I almost fell for him!

Theme: Cherish the person in front of you.
She is just sick. She loves her son so much. She might as well ask him not to marry her and be a mother to take care of her for the rest of her life. Yes, she can just move in and live with her son. It comes from my thoughts. In reality, some mothers-in-law really regard their sons as their significant other. I don't know if the other half is too incompetent.
Gua'er: My wife doesn't know about this yet. I just have to stay a few more days to make it clear to her:)
It's really annoying to do things you don't like in the name of doing your best. I know you are doing it for my own good, and I know you love me, but I really don't like the things you do. But what can I say? When you say, "I am your father, I am your mother," we are both right. I don't have to say anything. We can only let it happen.
Qinliu & Jihe: Stop fighting! Heroine and heroine:...?
In real life, there was a classmate in junior high school, everyone called him Ma Bao. After he entered high school, his mother rented a room in the school and lived in the school. When he was in junior high school, he came to school every day to pick him up and stood in the corridor outside the classroom and kept looking into the classroom. Once his son was assigned a seat with a boy with poor grades, he immediately got angry and asked the teacher to argue...

Gua'er's misunderstanding: My wife must have been abducted by my cousin again! This stumbling block is really big!
Gua'er: We communicate mouth to mouth, and the medicine is also sweet~
