After the Tortoiseshell Cat Took Over the Farm

The author of "Woof: I Contribute to Human Society [Animal Quick Transmigration]" has another 1M+ word novel next door that's ready to read (ongoing).

Shortly after being born, Mao Xiaomiao was abandoned by its owner. Its ugly appearance makes survival extremely difficult.

No one knows it's actually a hybrid of an Earth cat and an interstellar cat.

In Mao Xiaomiao's life, food must be snatched and territory must be fought over. Even a little toy can only be claimed after a bloody battle.

Survival of the fittest is Mao Xiaomiao's way of life. No human is kind to you for no reason: either they want to eat you, or they want to train you into a pet with no dignity.

As life in the city grows harder, Mao Xiaomiao decisively abandons its old territory and heads for the countryside. It has heard there's an abandoned farm out there, and it's going to claim it and build up its own power.

But when it reaches the farm, it discovers that a human is living there!?

Mao Xiaomiao crouches in a corner, secretly watching the human and calculating its odds if they fight.

She's five feet tall, petite, and not used to physical labor.

It's two feet tall, with sharp claws and teeth and muscles all over.

She has a cat.

It is a cat.

Mao Xiaomiao sharpens its claws. Good territory is always taken by force. It can do this!

Yun Nuannuan inherits a farm from her distant great-uncle. It has only one dairy cow, three roosters, and a donkey.

There are overgrown fields, a dilapidated house, a cowshed on the verge of collapse, and a huge clan of rats that has made its home there.

Her cat son is no match for the rats. The pair of them are nearly bullied to death by the swarm.

Luckily, a formidable tortoiseshell cat shows up later and wipes out every last rat, kicking and punching its way through them. It's the perfect guardian of the farm!

Yun Nuannuan holds out a dried fish snack. "Kitty, want to be my cat?"

Mao Xiaomiao tenses up all over. "Human malice! Human malice! This is human malice!"

Later.

Mao Xiaomiao: "Dried fish snacks are so damn good!"

Later still.

Yun Nuannuan discovers that strange animals keep wandering onto her farm.

A two-headed hen, a carp with wings, a loach that breathes fire...

The cat minister, who has traveled a long way from the stars to find the crown prince: "Your Majesty, these are all my..."

Mao Xiaomiao swipes at the cat minister with one paw, fur standing on end. "Get lost! This family doesn't need any other cats!"

Bringing all these tasty treats to butter us up. It must want to join this big family.

Sharing its human means sharing its dried fish snacks. It absolutely will not allow that!
