Yu Xuxian, Lord of the Immortal Realm, oversees the affairs of the entire realm. He agreed to succeed the previous Lord at someone's request, but disliked the tedious official duties, so he went to the mortal world to find his successor, Tang Yuqing. A thousand years later, when the Nine Netherfire scattered across the mortal world, Tang Yuqing came there to search for its scattered flames, and met Yu Xuxian again.
