Younger, suspicious, obsessive, jealous Omega x older, carefree, devoted Alpha
(Modern alternate universe, constitutional monarchy)

Jiang Rujie transmigrates into an ABO food novel. The protagonist will become a culinary god in five years, but for now, because she is an Omega, she is being abused and tormented in every way by the original Alpha Jiang Rujie.
Once the protagonist makes a name for herself, she not only destroys Jiang Rujie's sense of taste, but also keeps her under house arrest and tortures her.
To change her tragic fate, Jiang Rujie teaches her all her culinary skills and takes loving care of her apprentice. She even volunteers to help conceal her apprentice's Omega status, willingly becoming a tool for her.
All she wants is to step down once her work is done and find a place where spring flowers bloom to open a little eatery.
Who knew that when the five years were up, her apprentice would not become a culinary god, but instead inherit the throne overnight thanks to her secret lineage?
After the new king ascends the throne, the first thing she does is lock up her mentor, who has already packed her things and is ready to run.
“Master, didn't you say you'd always stay with me? Were you just saying that?”
Jiang Rujie: I devoted myself to a lost cause, and now I'm under house arrest after all.

The new king, Jian Fanyi, is strikingly beautiful and a master of diplomacy. Ever since inheriting the throne, she has shot to the top of the list of everyone's dream Alpha.
Countless people are desperate to marry into the royal family. After no one succeeds, everyone decides that no Omega is good enough for her.
That is, until paparazzi secretly photograph the new king out on an inspection tour, eagerly nestling into another woman's arms. Her eyes are tender and affectionate, without a trace of the arrogance expected of an Alpha or a monarch.
The woman holding the new king is gentle and charming, radiant and dazzling. The two of them look perfectly suited to each other.
What happened to the supposedly chaste, powerful, beautiful, and lonely monarch?

At a diplomatic event one day, Jian Fanyi attends with her arm around Jiang Rujie. As she clinks glasses with a foreign ambassador, matching tattoos on their wrists come into view of the cameras.
The red thread wrapped around both their wrists is both a bond and a promise.
Back at the palace, the king pretends to be drunk. With every step she takes, another piece of clothing falls to the floor. She collapses into Jiang Rujie's arms and murmurs:
“Master, I've told you my biggest secret. Can you stay?”
A note before reading:
An original alternate-universe setting with no real-life counterparts. Lots of invented details, all in service of the sweet romance.
