God Wants Her to Grow Tired of Eternal Life

A long time ago, a girl who was especially afraid of dying was granted eternal life by a god.

A hundred years later, the god asked her, alone in the world, “Do you still wish to live forever?”

The girl said yes.

Five hundred years later, the god asked her, “What about now? Do you still look forward to eternal life?”

The girl said, “Of course.”

A thousand years later, the god asked her again, “What about now?”

The girl said, “Ask me again when it’s been ten thousand years.”

The god agreed.

Ten thousand years later, just as the god was about to speak,

the girl answered first: “Ask me again in another ten thousand years.”

Ten thousand years upon ten thousand years, and there are so very many ten thousand years.

During her endless life, the girl gains all sorts of abilities and begins to transmigrate through time and space.

The god never hears her say that she has grown tired of this endless life.

The god asks, “What would it take for you to get completely sick of living?”

The girl says, “I don’t think I can ever get sick of living.”

The god searches through all of history and travels through time, finally reaching a conclusion.

He tells the girl, “Go fall in love.”

The girl: ???

Wanjin can live a very long time.

Once, she took a boy in his teens as her master.

As usual, she said, “Master, I’ll care for you in your old age and see you to your final rest.”

Her young master gave Wanjin’s face a subtle look and said, “Not necessarily.”

After all, she looked older than him.

A hundred years after her young master died, Wanjin stood with her hands tucked in her sleeves beside his soul and said, “I kept my promise, didn’t I?”

Her young master: ...
