I Became the Head of the Zenin Family After Entering an Otome Game

[Going on hiatus starting 2022/5/14. A 10,000-character update will drop on the day it goes on hiatus.] [Thank you all for your support!] [Next story: [Omnibus] Death Is Not the End (see the synopsis at the bottom!)] By a twist of fate, I became a player in Devout: Cursed Academy: Heartfelt Animal Tales. By a twist of fate, I became bound to a strange System. Even though it was an otome game, all the System's missions had to do with the family business. I suddenly understood. √ Me: Players are the strongest! Me: Apart from the divine child of the Gojo family next door, I'm the strongest! They say the Zenin family, one of the Big Three, has produced a genius. This genius was different from the other children from the moment she was born. Her cursed energy was nearly limitless, and she awakened the Zenin family's ancestral technique, the Ten Shadows Technique, as soon as she learned to walk. The only shame was that this genius was a girl. What's wrong with being a girl? Faced with family members so rotten with outdated ideas, I resolutely accepted the mission [Become the Future Head of the Zenin Family]. You old fart of a dad, just retire and enjoy your old age! Me: Sorry, but players never give up! The shikigami I've reserved for the Ten Shadows Technique: Shikigami #1: A famous dog demon lord from the Warring States period Shikigami #2: The strongest Sun Breather from the Taisho period Shikigami #3: Kirara, cute and powerful in equal measure Shikigami #4: A girl with the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception Shikigami #5: The son of the sun god Surya, the hero of charity Shikigami #6: A Grand Caster who's bad at using magecraft and bites his tongue if he chants too quickly Shikigami #7: A flower spirit with healing powers Shikigami #8: A different sword warrior every time they're summoned Shikigami #9: Suiko, a powerful miko from the Heian period Shikigami #10: King Hassan, the Old Man of the Mountain, wearing a skull mask 1. Everyday cultivation 2. I own the OOC; the male leads are all yours 3. One-on-one, slow-burn romance with Geto as the male lead [Warning: First-person narration!!!] [Next story: [Omnibus] Death Is Not the End] [Synopsis: Yuji Itadori has an older sister, an ordinary person and his last, only family member. Then one day, his beloved older sister suddenly dies. [If you're brave enough to accept the truth, take a good look at Nao's diary.] Members of the Armed Detective Agency hand him his sister's belongings, leaving him with a cryptic remark. To uncover the truth behind his sister's death, Yuji Itadori opens the diary. [From the moment I agreed to give that thing my soul, I was already prepared. Death is the end of everything.] [Death isn't actually frightening.] [I just can't let go of the few connections I have left.] Itadori Nao has never regretted it. Whether in her previous life or after being reincarnated in this one, she's always considered herself lucky. This life is no different: she has a strict but kind grandfather, and a sensible, obedient younger brother. "Would you like to make a contract with me and become a magical girl? I can grant any wish you want." She first met [that creature] while her grandfather was in the hospital. "Nao, do you want to make a wish this time?" "Yes. I want the power to protect my family." I absolutely won't let Yuji die. Even if the price of this power is death. "Will you regret it, Nao?" "No. I'm his older sister. Isn't protecting my little brother only natural?" ■ The early chapters are a little angsty. Read at your own risk. ■ I'm trying a flashback-style narrative told in reverse chronological order. ■ No romance (it's probably a story about Yuji and his sister saving each other) ] Theme: As long as you hold on to hope, your dreams will surely come true.
