In the original novel, Song Duran and the scumbag are foils to the male lead and his love interest. They keep trying to ruin each other, and both end up in a miserable state.

After transmigrating into the book, Song Duran decides to save himself by diligently playing the delicate green-tea type his scumbag husband hates most.

His scumbag husband comes home drunk, calling someone else's name. Song Duran smiles sweetly and says aloud:

Pei Shang, who just invited Song Duran to dance out of politeness: “?”

Song Duran is constantly ridiculed by his scumbag husband until, one day after a party, he accidentally ends up staying at Pei Shang's place.

“Will you work with me to bring down my scumbag husband, little brother?”

Pei Shang's expression is stern, his gaze shadowed. He speaks one word at a time:

“What makes you think I, Pei Shang, would help a man who's already been married?”

Song Duran trembles, his lashes fluttering, and looks at Pei Shang with tearful eyes. A sparkling drop of water slides from his damp hair down his neck and into his dressing gown. He tugs lightly at Pei Shang's sleeve with two fingers.

“Mr. Pei, please~”

Song Duran has always thought he and Pei Shang were only pretending. On the night their divorce goes through and their arrangement ends, Pei Shang locks him in the passenger seat.

Song Duran knows just how sly Pei Shang is, so he quickly comes up with a plan and looks at him with tear-filled eyes:

“Little brother, if you don't mind that I'm a little fragile and a little coy, and that I've been divorced...”

In his head: “Help, why is this man's Adam's apple so damn sexy today...”

Pei Shang leans in, his voice seductive:

“I don't mind. Want a kiss?”

Pei Shang has never had any affection for Song Duran, that drama queen, until one day he seems to hear Song Duran's thoughts. At first he suspects it's an illusion, but later discovers it's a secret that belongs only to him.

“Xiao Ye, you've grown up. How dare you compete with your big brother for what he wants? You used to sleep in this bed with me when we were kids, didn't you?”

An Ye withstands all the young master's ridiculous acts of revenge, but the innocent beauty is still drugged at a bar.

An Ye rescues him and gives him water and medicine, only for the love-struck beauty to pin him to the bed in return.

World Three

An Ye is a short-lived, disabled young master in a landlord's family. The love interest is the wife his family forced him to marry for good luck. Once he dies, she'll become a young widow and get together with the male lead.

Truly, all he has to do is eat, drink, and wait to die.

But his good fortune doesn't last. A lecherous top climbs through the wrong window in the middle of the night, scoops An Ye up, and runs off with him. An Ye struggles and shoves at him. “Wrong person, wrong person!”

The top pauses, then looks down at the slender waist in his hand and chuckles.

“Going back means you'll die anyway. You might as well die under a peony.”

After An Ye is rescued in time, he's so frightened that he can barely function. He immediately decides to divorce the love interest, only to discover that none of the servants will listen to him anymore.

“Young master, the madam says you were so frightened you've lost your mind and are talking nonsense. She's coming to your room tonight to look after you.”

“My husband, it's all right if your legs don't work, isn't it?”

Stop, stop, stop, stop.

1. It might count as a harem story, but the bottom really is just an ordinary, honest man.

2. The actual top isn't one of the original novel's leads; he's a split-off fragment of the top.

3. Four or five worlds. Leave a comment if there's a world you'd like to see later.

4. A slower-paced Quick Transmigration story. If you're strict about pairings, this isn't for you.
